It is said that it is good to stick the raw leaves on a boil and soften them with a folk medicine. In toothache, the raw leaves are rubbed with salt and the toothache stops if you bite it in a sore tooth. Plantain is not only a medicinal herb, but also a highly nutritious food that contains a lot of minerals, proteins, vitamins, and sugars.
